Once upon a time
Senso Boats was founded in 2021 by Gijs van Beek, driven by his passion for water, boatbuilding, and entrepreneurship. With degrees in maritime engineering and policy management, plus years of yacht industry experience, he turned his passion into a business.
While building his own boat to live on, he saw the need for high-quality houseboats at fair prices, which led to the creation of the Senso 45—designed with simplicity and quality in mind. Senso exists to bring this vision to life and help others realize their dream.

It is our mission to bring a fulfilling and purposeful experience on the water. The name ‘Senso’ is derived from the Italian word for ‘feeling’ or ‘purpose’. We believe following your heart is what truly matters. Senso is about choosing a direction in life that feels like you.
Co-creation
Senso delivers boats at client orders while retaining ownership of the design. To bring each dream boat to life, we collaborate with well-established shipyards that share our values.
Together with the client, we define specific wishes and provide expert advice. These preferences are then translated into a clear technical plan and a transparent agreement. Once approved by the client, construction begins.
Senso oversees the entire build process, ensuring that every boat meets the highest standards and is delivered exactly as promised.
